Description

One of the essential elements that should exist in the compliance program is to have a compliance committee and/or a compliance Officer/manager.

A compliance committee is multidisciplinary team from different departments within the company to act as the leadership team responsible for designing and implementing an effective Compliance Program at the Company. In case your Company’s resources do not allow you to have a dedicated compliance Officer/ manager, it is highly recommended to have a multifunctional compliance committee (e.g. General Manager, Legal, Finance) to ensure the decisions made by it are objective and not dependent on a sole person having all the decision-making powers in the company (e.g. General Manager).
