Third Party Intermediary (TPI) Compliance Toolkit

Description

At Johnson & Johnson we are committed to put the patient first. Collaboration and interactions with Third party companies, Health Care Professionals (HCPs), Government Officials (GOs), and other customers help drive medical innovation and support the safe and effective use of our products

To improve ongoing patient and clinician access to innovative, reliable and effective medical technologies, it is often necessary for health care companies to engage third parties to assist with marketing, sales and distribution of products. Examples of third parties include distributors, wholesalers and logistics or sales agents. Third parties play a vital role in this industry, and in doing so, must comply with applicable laws and industry codes. This TPI Compliance Toolkit offers third-party companies access to compliance guidance and training to help ensure they are able to meet the expectations and standards for doing business in the health care industry.

In addition, through these guidelines, and appropriate behavior, J&J will expect their Third Party intermediaries  to put the patient first at all times.

We have created a toolkit which includes many resources. We hope that these tools will help you formalize and strengthen your compliance program. A good compliance program can help prevent compliance issues from occurring or detect issues before they become significant. Good compliance is also a competitive advantage as you will be able to demonstrate to suppliers, customers and employees integrity and ethics in your company. Every third party should undertake reasonable steps to implement an appropriate compliance program, based on the size, resource and activities of the business. This toolkit is a step by step guide to help you implement a compliance program within your business.

To help you meet your compliance requirements, we are providing several reference documents, tools and templates for your use. Some of these documents can be used as they are while others may require modification and adjustments to be used properly given that regulations, or industry codes may include additional or different requirements. Some documents may not be relevant to your regular business operations.

Important Note: Johnson & Johnson has zero-tolerance for bribery or corruption of any kind, and requires the third parties it works with to comply with relevant anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws, by taking steps to mitigate bribery and corruption risk in their own business. The resources included in this TPI toolkit are provided as templates only and should be tailored appropriately by users to meet the compliance requirements and legal obligations applicable to their business.
